Behind These Numbers

Dealer reserve here is the extra interest the rate markup generates across the loan term. F&I product margin figures come from conservative industry composite data (NADA). The price negotiation gap reflects the typical spread between what an unassisted retail buyer pays and what a prepared buyer armed with wholesale cost data and competing dealer offers pays — modeled at 5% of vehicle price per industry composites. Actual savings differ from deal to deal.

Disclaimer: These figures are illustrations, not a promise of savings on any particular transaction. Real dealer profit, rate markups, and F&I product costs depend on the dealership, lender, vehicle, credit profile, and market conditions. Meridian Auto Advisory is not a lender, a dealership, or a financial advisor.
